The Stihl HS45 Hedge Trimmer is the perfect tool for trimming and shaping your hedges at home. But, how do you start it up? We’ll walk you through the process.
How To Start Up Your Hedge Trimmer
The Stihl HS45 is one of the best-selling hedge trimmers on the market. It’s packed with features like anti-vibration, upright re-fueling, single side diamond sharpened cutters and more. It is the perfect tool for trimming and shaping your hedges at home.
Once you have your hands on it, one of the most popular questions is “how do you start it up?” We’ll walk you through the process.
The first and important step is to take the cover off the blade. Always remember to do this to avoid damaging the cover and the blade.
The second step is to make sure it’s in the on position.
The third step is the primer. Prime by pressing the primer bulb three or four times. Doing this creates a vacuum that helps suck gas from the fuel tank into the carburettor. Pressing it a couple of times should supply enough fuel and be ready for use.
The fourth step is moving the hedge trimmer into the choke position. You’ll find this just beside the primer bulb.
Next step is to engage the trigger lock by pushing it down.
Once you’ve done all five steps, you can lay your hedge trimmer to the ground for starting.
Pull the starter once and you should hear a pop before it stops.
Now, take off the choke and you’re ready to pull two or three times before it starts running continuously.
This should be really easy.
